Representative image — not a photograph of Forum Square.

The Forum is the Roman square at the heart of Pula and it is still the city's main gathering place, two thousand years after it was laid out. Cafes line three sides, the Temple of Augustus stands at the eastern end, and the town hall occupies the opposite range. It is free to sit, walk or meet here at any time of day. The drawback is the price: the cafes on the square charge the highest rates in the city, so a coffee here costs more than the same cup a street back.
