Why trust our guides

We're a small local team, not an aggregated review farm.

Locals, not tourists

Our guides are written by people who actually live in Pula and travel Istria year-round — not scraped from elsewhere.

Researched, not scraped

Every listing is checked against current opening hours, prices and access before it goes up — and rechecked each season.

Independent & honest

Affiliate links never affect what we recommend. If a spot is overrated, we say so.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need before you book.

When is the best time to visit Pula?

Late May to early October has the best swimming and the full events calendar. July and August are peak season (busy, hot); September is the sweet spot — warm sea, fewer crowds, lower prices.

Do I need a car in Pula?

Not strictly. The centre and Arena are walkable, and beaches like Verudela are a short bus or bike ride. A car helps for Brijuni, Rovinj and inland hill towns — rent one for day trips.

Are the beaches sandy?

Most Istrian beaches are pebble or rocky (cleaner water, bring water shoes). Hawaii Beach and a few are sandier. All are Blue Flag or weekly-monitored.

Is Pula good for families?

Yes — calm shallow bays, the aquarium, Brijuni safari park, and easy apartment stays make it very family-friendly.
