Pulsko

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Pulsko is an independent travel guide to Pula and Istria, Croatia. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the data controller is Pulsko. You can reach us at hello@pulsko.com.

2. What we collect

  • Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and any preferences you select (e.g. the topics you ask to receive).
  • Contact messages: the information you choose to send us by email.
  • Technical data: standard server logs kept by our hosting provider (Cloudflare), including IP address and browser type, used only to serve and secure the site.

We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on this site, and we set no cookies of our own.

We do not collect special-category (sensitive) personal data, and we do not build profiles about you for advertising.

3. How we use your data

  • To send the newsletter you subscribed to, and to let you unsubscribe at any time.
  • To respond to your messages.

4. Legal basis

We process your email address on the basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) when you subscribe, and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating and securing the site. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing — this does not affect processing already carried out.

5. Sharing with third parties

Our newsletter is delivered through a third-party email provider (Beehiiv), and the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Fonts, images and scripts are served from our own domain — your browser makes no requests to Google, to a CDN, or to any other third party while reading these pages. When you book or buy via the affiliate links on this site, the booking or ticketing partner (e.g. Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Eventim) processes your transaction directly under their own privacy policy, and may set their own cookies at that point. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@pulsko.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).

7. Data retention

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we delete it within 30 days, except where we must retain records to comply with legal obligations.
