Valovine is on the Verudela peninsula, immediately next to Hawaii Beach, and it is one of Pula's official year-round dog beaches. Free parking runs along the forest edge, so you can leave the car in the shade of the pines, and the bay is calm and sheltered for swimming. The drawback is the entry: it is rocky in places, so bring swim shoes and pick your spot rather than dropping straight onto the first patch of stone.
